I believe archived threads can only be accessed with paid accounts, except some select threads which probably get voted to get archived for free. At least that's what I assume.

A good way to find backups of threads is to simply google for their titles, though. In case of the thread mentioned in >>1347 that would be "森薫「エマ～Emma～」　-27-" which doesn't seem to be anywhere, but you could take away the part number (-27-) and just search for directories that have copies of older parts and then just look again in a few days/weeks/months...
