524345 No.1298
It's time for some more otaku culture craziness!

Main translation by 黄金ファット, with some polishing up and editing by me, and a lot of help from htsuji and mogura on language and references!

And now, a quick guide to the references contained, for those who aren't hardcore enough to get them all. Feel free to add anything I missed of forgot.

* The "Red Quad-Stars" is a reference to the "Black Tri-Stars" team from Gundam.
* "Lum" is a reference to Ursuei Yatsura (that one's pretty obvious, I guess).
* "Giren" is another Gundam reference.
* "Uguu~" is a Kanon reference.
* "Tomino and Anno" are Yoshiyuki Tomino and Hideaki Anno, directors of Gundam and Evangelion, respectively.
* Panda! Go Panda! is a very old show that Hayao Miyazaki worked on.
* Kimba the White Lion is a sixties anime by Osamu Tezuka. The Lion King is often accused of being a ripoff of it.
* Nadia is Gainax's and Hideaki Anno's first TV show. Atlantis is similarly accused of being a ripoff of this.
* Tsutomu Miyazaki is an otaku turned serial killer, which predictably caused a big backlash against anime and otaku: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tsutomu_Miyazaki

* Sazae-san, Crayon Shin-chan and Chibi Maruko-chan are all very popular children's anime that aren't very well-known outside Japan.
* Ojamajo Doremi is a children's show popular with otaku. The second version is originally titled Mo~tto! Ojamajo Doremi, which translates as in the comic.
* Nobuyo Oyama is the voice actor of Doreamon, in the show of the same name. It is immensely popular in Japan, but not much outside it.
* Masako Nozawa is, obviously, the person who does Son Goku in Dragonball.
* Megumi Hayashibara should be known to all otaku. She is a very popular voice actress (Rei in Evangelion, for instance)and idol singer.
* Miina Tominaga's name is written "Mi~na Tominaga", because it's cute.
* Explaining that the final page is a reference to DiGi Charat just seems dumb.
