"Thank you for your kind <unreadable>.I am glad to know (hear?) of your feelings for me, however"
"Thank you for your kind <unreadable> in your letter.I am glad to know your feeling for me, however"Hinata: Now do you understand our gratitude when you translate unreadable kanji?
This is a letter from ep. 2 of the anime. Text:"...obtain good result(obscured)l short of our expecta(obscured)Chris Heinrichs"
I understood.. And I'm glad I can be a help.BTW, to my surprise, these seems all correct English while you see a lot of random English sentences in mangas. So I want to say the producer doesn't cut corners.
Yes, the anime really has an amazing attention to detail.
You are right. The language used there is Latin. Latin is often used for "fake" text in situations like that. There is a traditional Latin text used for that called "Lorem Ipsum." It is used to fill space when nobody cares what it says. This is an example.
The text "Lorem Ipsum" is taken from Cicero's "de Finibus Bonorum et Malorum" (dated 45 BCE), specifically from the passage 1.10.32-33.The standardised "Lorem Ipsum" text used these days has mutated so many times that the original text is somewhat obscured, but it is demonstrably true that the source is as cited above.vc: goy (very true)
"Thank you for your kind words in your letter."?

>>674Thank you for your efforts, but I do believe that all of us had already gotten that one.

I have in the past indicated a desire to translate some of Awatake's comics, but I don't think I'm up to reading the tiny kanji in them. If anyone volunteers to help out with transscribing them, I'm sure I could handle the rest.I really enjoy _Forgery Space_ (http://www.cx.sakura.ne.jp/~awatake/manga/cc03/n00.html) and this one that doesn't seem to have a proper name: http://www.cx.sakura.ne.jp/~awatake/manga/cc05/n01.html. The latter one doesn't have much that needs translating, though.
Someone please help >>413 !Also, at least the manga shown in >>410 can be downloaded here: http://www.deadfrog.info/index.php?action=view&view=entry&entryid=380

Well, since the original thread (at >>445) is getting kind of overcrowded, I'll post these in a new thread. This is partly based on boke's and partly on my translations. I put some effort into getting it to make sense - not the easiest task. At least I got to use one of my favourite memes.I'm a bit disappointed in myself for not doing a better work on the title in this first strip, but oh well.
I kind of liked the look of the slightly coloured scans so I tried to emulate that.
...and apologies for leaving "drill" in there, but Marimite fandom has ruined my brain.
I now fall to the floor at your feet and worship you...thats so wonderful!!! THANK YOU SO MUCH!!! *^_^*
LOVE.
And now, something really stupid.A two-page Utena doujin by Ashinano Hitoshi, the author of Yokohama Kaidashi Kikou.
No, I have no idea what the hell the last line is supposed to mean.
Are you absolutely sure that these are by Ashinano Hitoshi? I don't think they look like his style...
"Suuke" is his pen name, yes. This is from a collection of random shorts he's done that I found on Share. The Utena one doesn't show off his usual, style, no, but this page is much more obvious.
"Share"?

But are Suuke's dojinshi adult or just goofy stuff? The people have a right to know!!
Well, in this pack of random pages there are a couple of mildly adult ones... The rest is just silliness. I don't know how representative they are though.
Adorable!
It's pretty impressive that those are just from Mori's doujinshi work.
Where's Emma?
_Emma_ isn't a doujinshi, see?
Emma's here.http://kamakura.cool.ne.jp/chaccu/

Total win! <3
>>366Well, not quite, but I really didn't feel like getting into the trouble of editing the handwriting on the note.
Aww!
aaaaaaawwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwww
Editing by me, translation by Waha with a tiny bit of help/interference from me.
Thanks for doing this one!I suggest not resizing the strips to a bigger size as this makes the image look pixelated.
great!!! can u post a non pixelated version?/
i tried to remove the pixes
btw where did you get this i didnt see it on the site
Is Kaoro Mori male or female?
> No. 207She is female.
>>204I happened to have the original untranslated comic in my docs folder, so I created a new translated version, sacrificing font face to keep resolution.
Wild Words Fixup
I had a nice laughed after reading the panel. <3 Thansk to you guys for translating the dialogue. <3
So thanks to >>409 I just made the MOST USELESS TRANSLATION EVER.
GRAND! \o/
Anyone want to tell me what is up with this manga? I just don't have a clue ._.
It's up for analyzation. It's like Aesop's "Fox and Fruit" tale where the boy takes the time to try and save the girl but ends up having to go to the limit to get to her. Then throughout the course of time, he gets frustrated and his good intentions turn to evil. Or something.
His attempts to reach the girl turn into obsession as she remains always out of reach. By the end of it, all he wants to do is end the cycle of longing and heartbreak, to the point that he apparently doesn't care that there is no way back for him. Or something.
This comic details a man's attempts at getting laid by pimping up his ride. He has it quite nicely riced up at what translates to the second page of the comic, but the demands are different already by the time he's done. Still, the man wants to get laid. As he continues his efforts, and the months turn into years, his process of maturing turns against him: in order to get laid he has to counteract his aging process by increasing the "rice level" of his vehicle even further. As the years go by, he always almost reaches his goal, but still achieves nothing but continued virginity. The setting for the last act symbolizes the destruction of the meta level: he exits his "ride", and subsequently destroys its metaphor. Frustrated with the failure of his subtle manner, he bluntly brandishes his external organs. This brave course of action delights her, and they live happily ever after. Or something.
