Again, i need the help of someone with information on the translation of random fan-made Cave story comics. It's really a shame the Cave Story Oekaki board disappeared for some reason.
Cross-posted from /a/.This is just wrong.
What's wrong?
>>1133You're not all that familiar with Narutaru, are you? It's wrong, all right.

Breathtaking.
Yeah, it's pretty. To bad the actual movie sucked big time.
>551 - You fail at life, go die now.>429 - If anyone has this image available in ultra hi-res, I would be eternally grateful beyond words. Every time I see this scene it takes my breath away.
Could someone translate this if it hasn't already? Or if so, could someone post the picture or text?
It's a good art work, isn't it.Double-click each yellow note to see the translation.http://wakaba.c3.cx/notes/notes.pl?image=http%3A%2F%2Fcerealandmilk.net%2Fiichan%2Fimg%2Fsrc%2F1118545079158.jpgIt needs some revise to be a Hollywood-like cool natural script.
Thank you, FON.And, age.
Here's two three-page flyer manga by Takahiro Awatake. This was a simple little translation job by htsuji, Hinata and me to relax after that horribly complex earlier Awatake translation. Enjoy the silliness!
And the second of the two.
If you're wondering about the seal in >>1060, Hinata had this to say:> I think when Awatake drew this manga, a famous seal called Tama-chan was popular. Tama-chan was just a wild seal. He appeared in the dirty river, Tama river one day. He's cute and it was a rare oppotunity to see a seal in the metropolitan area, a lot of people visited the river and watched him. The media chased him and Tama-chan was on TV every day.> News films : http://www.tbs.co.jp/newsi_sp/tama/
Good work, guys - sorry I couldn't be of assistance. As you know, my life has recently featured a certain level of distracting elements. I'll be back in full vigour, soon, never fear.BTW, the "cute animal in the news" syndrome exists all over the world - in Denmark, we had "Valborg" the whale, which showed up in our waters back in the early 80s. It was immortalised in a pop song, even.
シャーリーの続き読みてぇなぁ
For the non-Japanese-literate: Shirley says 主役交代だ, meaning "It's (time for) a change of starring characters". No wonder Emma looks so shocked.
Why does only Emma-san appear on an anime!(Why was only Emma made into an anime?! )Because sales of tankou-bon does not necessariry lead to an anime...
Yes we want a serie about Shirley !!
We at IIchan Translation Group spare no expense to bring you corrections using the latest in technology!Somehow this correction did not make it into the final version of the episode. Sorry for the inconvenience.
Beardsley is deluxe!
kahahah very high tech, so high tech that my media player is not updated to handle such update... bummer =)
I take one day off to go to a wedding, and this is what happens. Boy, I just can't take my eyes off you guys for a minute, can I?

Everybody's been curious about the book that Emma borrows from Mudie's in episode 4. Much speculation has been voiced about whether or not it was an actual book. I am happy to report that I have finally identified it, after much thought and investigation. The book (seen here, with the title cover in a characteristically Japanese right-side position) is "Rosaline Woodbridge; or, The Midnight Visit, a Romantic Tale" (1827), by Hannah Maria Jones. It's the terribly romantic story of a young girl, the daughter of a gamekeeper, who falls in love with a nobleman. I won't bore you with the details, but there's a lame deus ex machina near the end, where the girl is revealed to be actually a misplaced noble child... and therefore eligible to marry the nobleman. Geh, what a weak ending...Anyway, I am convinced this is the one.I've found a synopsis here: http://www2.shu.ac.uk/corvey/cw3/ContribPage.cfm?Contrib=441
Agreed. The long title and the author's name match perfectly. You are THE MAN!
>>786We HAVE to see about inserting that into the final version of the subbed anime. Oh, and remember to spell it: "Hannah Maria Jones", not "Hannah Marie Jones".
Oh, but that would be CENSORSHIP!(Not bitter.)
Is futaba aware of this yet?
I was thinking about that "Vol. 1" - it seemed sort of odd to me. So I decided to look it up. Now I can tell you not only the book, but the edition. You see, "Rosaline Woodbridge" was originally published in 1827, by George Virtue in London. This first edition was in one volume of 721 pages. However, another edition was issued, later the same year, published by Mathew Iley in London. This edition was in three volumes. Undoubtedly, this (or a later republication of the same version) is the book that Emma borrows (or rather, borrows the first volume of).For a full listing of the romantic novels of Hannah Maria Jones, see this URL:http://www.british-fiction.cf.ac.uk/authorTitles.asp?author=428
Why is the book in three volumes? That puzzled me, until I read this:http://www.victorianweb.org/economics/mudie.html
