I'm sure several of the readers wondered why "Chin Kasuo-kun" is a demonstration of Kanehira's "horrible taste in picking names". The answer is that it's almost homonymous with a very rude word: "chinkasu", or "dirt accreted under the male foreskin" (i.e. smegma, but with an additional sense of almost deliberate uncleanliness).It was not explained in the manga, because Kanehira doesn't explain it. Well, to be fair, when Mori wrote that bit, she hadn't yet "levelled up" and been "equipped" with her own personal researcher. The anime crew did a much more thorough job of researching the details. Hell, that's what they blew all the money on, and why there's no present appearance of hope for a second season.You win some, you lose some.
