Just watched it today, a japanese friend told me. and I agree with you #1, it's superb! I didnt know making an illustration take that hard work! it's amazing and mori skills are amazing.
Btw just today (again) I heard about this new series, and I'm glad I've found again this fansub (I visited it quite often during Emma).

Well after reading so much manga it was pretty cool to see it getting done. And applying screentone looks harder than I thought.
Also, as a side affect from watching these I see a knife scraping screentone whenever I read manga now.
