So, I guess with the recent developments the work on this chapter has stopped. Sniff... So close yet so far away...
ahem, do you guys ever thought that you could continue youre work as long as the licensor doesn't publish anything, i mean till they publish you can still do youre translations since there's no guarantee of when it will appear, just like gantz, it's been licensed for sometime now but i still can't find it for sale on darkhorse so it whould be nice if you chould continue with emma further tales and Shirley madisson

As far as I know Emma Further Tales and Shirley aren't licensed. The Emma manga is licensed but the licensing doesn't extend to Further Tales. This is true with anime series as well. The first season of something getting licensed isn't a guarentee that later seasons will get licensed as well.
All i said was that as long as it's only licensed and not published iitran shouldn't abandon it. we don't know wen it will come out, and it usually comes out after a few months so i just thought iitran could keep scanlating it, i mean Emma further tales and Shirley Madison.

Well, I can understand Whisper's and !WAHa.06x36's angle, since scanslations and fansubs of unlicenced works anyway fall in a gray area. There is however another question I wanted to ask. Could you guys do just the translations and post them as a txt file? Would that also fall in the same category? Since the RAWs are floating arround anyway and I think most of us check them out or some maybe even get Comic Beam over various channels, it would give us at least some way to read them, by using a translation on a separate file or on paper...

Wow...I figured as much that they'd license it sooner or later....but I was reaaaaaaaallly hoping it'd be after this chapter....ToT shoots. I was wondering if whisper's was gonna do the same for the last chapters of Vol. 7....but I guess I'll have to wait for the books to arrive on my doorstep. ^^;
On semi-brighter note, I really do want to thank Whispers and !WAHa.06x36 for giving me a chance to find one of the most amazing stories I've seen and read in such a long time. I still cry rereading parts of the manga. I'm just glad though that even though I'll have to wait a little longer to read it, it's not over yet. ^_^ And there's still Shirley! XD So, though it sounds a bit cheesy, thank you so very much for your hard work.
Yes, I second that. I didn't mean for my post to sound as just another 'please continue' posts. I do appriciate the time all the people involved put into this project. It was merely the cry of a soul faced with the fact that it will have to wait a long while until he'll be able to read the following chapters. ^_^
