Whispers, I have a favour to ask you (maybe not only me, maybe somebody will back up me^^), could you tell us something about yourself? For so long you've been giving us a lot of joy with Emma, so I started to be curious what kind of person you are :) I know that curiosity is a bad feature, but I'll be grateful if you respond.
I really don't know how to answer this one. I prefer to be a bit enigmatic about personal details, but anyone who's talked to me on IRC over the years would know:
I'm very technical, and I work as a programmer. I enjoy learning new things, so I've picked up lots of fansubber techniques from helpful people.
Part of my job involves making graphics for the web, so I'm fairly familiar with Photoshop.
I'm interested in anime, manga, and Japanese culture, so I took Japanese classes in college and have studied on my own quite a bit. I'm no expert, but I do my best.
I'm a sucker for a romance story, and I love reading about the Victorian period. I already had a number of reference books on Victoriana when I first discovered Emma, and the collection has grown dramatically since then.
I was an investigative journalist in a previous job, and love to do research.
I'm very, very stubborn.
All of the above, mixed together, may explain why I've been doing this so doggedly for so many years, and why I enjoy putting together things like the "Whisper's Guide."

Wow, Whispers, I thought I'd known you for about 2 years now, but didn't even know your job... Heheheh.
What I know about Whispers is that Whispers is very kind, helpful, knowledgeable, patient and cute; Whispers has been kindly teaching me many many things especially about English words and phrases including useful idioms, and about both American and Victorian cultures.
I've been very busy lately and haven't had much chance to chat with Whispers and other iitran members.
