Oh, quick question about the wedding dress! Eleanor's is white, but I remember reading/seeing pictures of Victorian wedding dresses that were in all sorts of colours (I remember blue and browns most vividly). Did they just pick the white because it was easy, or am I just mistaken? :3

You're correct, Victorian wedding dresses were not white. (Red was a popular color, if I remember correctly.) I think they did go with white just because it would be expected by a modern audience.

Who would had thought that Emma would had such a generous bosom?;) We already had a swimsuit episode so I guess it was just natural to have one with some cleavage on it. I'm trying to make memory but I can't remember a male character in anime that cries for the woman/girl he loves as William did. I guess he's more of a sensitive guy more than an indecisive one.
I don't know why, but the Viscount reminds me of Montague of Romeo x Juliet.

I feel so bad for Eleanor, though. She doesn't deserve any of that. She's sweet, innocent, and very naive. Having her get a proposal is a huge deal to her, you can't just call it off, ya know? I wish there was somebody that could truly make her happy, the way William does... but available. :P
Well, if they include some of the events of "Emma Bangaihen" then Eleanor might find somebody to make her heartache go away.
I hope they could include some of them, like Tasha's trip to her family home or Theo's adventure.

Thank you guys soo much! I've been dying to watch the next ep. I just dl it and watch it.From the reunion scene and on, I was balling. I, ofcourse didn't read the manga so I don't what happens in the manga but, I will read it. The tears were just coming as I watched. That ep made me think about things that I myself didn't want to think about. I had all these emotions just from watching this anime. I've cried while watching anime before but, never this way.
The story of Emma has found a place in my heart because I myself at one time thought I could never be with this guys but, now I'm getting married to him but, I know like it can be taken away just like that. I am really appreciate for what I have and I think that's one of the reasons why I like Emma so much. The manga, the anime, all of it. Gomen! You guys couldn't probal less. Once again thanx guys. I must say, 5 days was really fast. Can't wait for the next one!^^

i love this ep. I felt like it wasn't until now that Emma really felt that she wanted Will and didn't want to give up on him. She broke down in the ep. with the servants party but I think that was mainly because she was feeling unworthy and that she would never see him again. But this one seeing him again, it just made her love for him show through and that she was ready to fight for her man. tehe

at the same time, the tears sort of make up for the fact he went off and got engaged to eleanor. it is because emma loves that idiot (but lovable) boy that will make me forgive him in the end.

I think Eleanor is still very much a child compared to the other characters, so she's still learning about herself. As well, she's stubborn and devoted, which makes her a good partner for many, but infuriates those who want Emma and William to be together.
Her father however, is a remnant of the Pre-Industrial era and does not like someone making it to the top on brains and hard work alone.
I understand how the Jounes could benefit with the marriage of Eleanor and William, but I'm lost at how could the Campbells benefit form it? Eleanor's older sisters seems to be married to whealty husbands, and yet their parents as rumors says seems to be in a tight in money, at least they can't keep all the luxuries of the Aristocracy. I mean would they receive money from William and Richard Jounes or would they benefit from the business liasons of the Jounes?
Probably both. They'll be getting wealth regardless. The more wealth, the better.
Now that I think about it, the Campbell's are getting the short end of the stick, so to speak, if Eleanor and William were to wed.
The Joneses would gain the Campbell's title, along with the dowry Eleanor would give to William (and if her parents are tight on money as it is, this could definitely hurt them financially).
And, from what I understand, the Campbells wouldn't directly gain access to the Jones' wealth, especially since it is a daughter rather than a son who is getting married. William, instead, would be the one to gain control of Eleanor's finances. Of course, William could give Eleanor's parents part of his wealth if he so wanted.
Forgive me if I am wrong; the Victorian era is not one of my strong points. But with three daughters, two of which are married and therefore would have had to pay a dowry, another daughter engaged, and the effects of the industrial revolution on the noble class it is no wonder why the Campbells are tight on money.
I think the Campbells would mostly be gaining future political allies and such things along those lines, more than anything else with Eleanor and William's marriage.

Well he felt that he wont ever see Emma again. He knows that the Campbell title would be better for the Jounes family. Eleanor is persistent that someday William will learn to love her, thus making Eleanor hurt herself in the process of waiting making William feel guilty about. Oh, and William is very impulsive.

The Campbells would get access to Jounes money. There was a comment in the episode about the Campbell's going downhill (something along the lines of only serving oysters meaning they were cutting costs by serving fewer foods and less exotic ones).
