Nothing is known about where Bangaihen is going, or for how long. Mori said something about maybe two volumes at some point, but nothing is definite.

We're actually secretly preparing you people for when the second season starts, because then we will definitely not have enough manpower to work on both the anime and manga, and there will definitely be delays. Barring a big influx of people willing to help out with the gruntwork.
It's going to be fun, especially now that we halfway know what we're doing! I can't wait.

I enjoyed that chapter, laughing at a few of the terms used: "cool", "cage match"
I just recently finished the book "Six Frigates" (by Ian Toll, IIRC), about the early (through the War of 1812) history of the US Navy, and got to see the nautical origins of some of the slang used in the English language. It was a very good book, and much more Interesting than I would have expected, given the subject.
But those two terms? ^_^;
Oh well... ;p I can't wait for the next chapter. Keep up the good work with Bangaihen, and I look forward to Emma 2.0!

Hmm, I was just about to get the torrent so I could put it up for direct download, but it seems that the torrent-source is down. Sorry, you'll have to wait a bit more until the torrent can be sourced again.
I'm not that good at keeping the language appropriate to the period, or at putting in authentic British regionalisms. I try, but as you can see I sometimes fail. Actually, I tried to keep "cool" out of this chapter, but I guess I missed at least one.
Well, I think Whispers is doing a great job.
You know, Ms. Mori keeps writing all the conversation in standard Japanese with no dialect, as there's no way Ms. Mori or any Japanese could write Japanese dialogs with English accent anyway.
So, we Japanese can't tell any difference if Emma and others are speaking in modern/old English or American/British English.
I don't know about English but I'd never be able to write any Japanese sentence with Tohoku-ben or Kyushu-ben correctly, isn't that the same in English??
Anyway, I always thank you, whispers, for your wonderful translation. Keep it up! ^_^
