The comic book store near me just got in their new shipment, and what was waiting for me when I got there? Emma volume two! Has anyone else got their copy, and if so, what's the verdict?

I thought it was codswallop.

Joking aside, it provided a pretty good rendition of the Victorian English language, though I thought IIchan provided a better translation, who correctly translated Eton college. I also liked how the CMX translation tries to put in the regional accents (RP/London/Cockney/Northern) in the texts (though the average American reader wouldn't know the difference anyway).

All agree on that, and as well, I really wish they would do something akin to Whispers' Guide. Some of it can be confusing for people who don't know the era, and it would be nice to have something explaining the sticky points of Victorian culture.

We can always hope they license the Emma Victorian Guide.
