Work has begun.
Which character is featured this time?
No one character is featured. It's a "slice of life" chapter with brief vignettes showing various peripheral characters, although Emma makes a very fleeting appearance.
I see, but we get to see Emma though. :) Just a thought, this bangaihen chapter takes place after the manga right?
No, we see Emma as a little girl.
That's interesting. Well, I'll be looking forward to it. :D
I´ve seen the raw (can´t wait to read the english version). But seems to me that the scene pictured is of the time when Emma first arrived to London after her kidnapping when she was looking for food. There is also, i believe, some appearance of the courtesan that used to date count campbell.
Are all the vignettes set in the same time? I really want to see more of the curio shop girl. :3
great! i'm still waiting for emma season 2 to air btw..
Eagerly waiting for the new release!!!!!!!!!!!1
yea are you guys still alive?
Soon.
I'm a bit confused. Do all three of the stories take place sometime in Emma's childhood? It's hard to tell because from the way the chapter ran it seems to imply all three stories happened in one day since everything seems to be related to what was printed on one edition of the Times newspaper. But then we see a story about Violet (the woman who had an affair with Viscount Campbell) and it seems to imply this is taking place after he had dumped her. :?
That confused me too. Mogura had to explain it to me. It's very subtle, but notice the slightly different drawing style for panels 3-9 of page 10? That's a flashback scene showing when the maids first began helping orphans.
You mean the one with gray tones? I thought that might be a flashback too, but wouldn't the maid who helped Emma be older now if this chapter took place by the time Emma met William? The maid still looks quite young and it's been what? about ten years since Emma first came to London? Gah! I'm still confused. @_@
Thanks for the assist.
Lovely, this chapter left me with a smile.
Thank you for your hard work.
I think it is NOT happening in just one day. The first newspaper appeared on page 2-3 is of October 8, and on page 25, it's October 3(or 4, because they're reading the newspaper of the day before).
So, newspaper is related to all stories but doesn't necessarily happen at the same time or in sequence. You need to give or take a few days or maybe years, perhaps?
By the way, this chapter includes 4 stories actually.
The main character(s) on
Page 6-11 also appeared on Emma Vol.2, Chapter 13
Page 12-17: Emma Vol.2, Chapter 11
Page 18-23: Emma Vol.5, Chapter 36~
Page 24-29: Emma Vol.1, Chapter 5
This sequel is quite unique, I think of it as a collections of oneshots before (hopefully) getting into the main storyline of continuing what's left of Emma's ending.
Hmmm, this is interesting, but, there's one thing that bugs me, who is "Stephen Brower". I mean, i can't recall all the names that appeared in the serie, but if it actually appeared in it, i'd like to know who it is. Can anyone tell me if it's a first appearance for the name or not?
The newspapers are ironed so the ink doesn't rub off on the fingers, right?
Right.
