Emma Bangaihen Chapter 3: "The Sea of Brighton." Our subject this time around is none other than the lovely Eleanor! Yay! I'm excited!

yay! Oh what a cutie! Yep, Eleanor may finally get a happy ending after all... her first love was a real frustration... but maybe this handsome chap may prove to be her knight in the shining armor.
Hooray for the direct-download link :) Gosh, Eleanor looks so sweet in her cute little bathing dress! And whow, Kaoru Mori really does her research well, the bathing machines look so...authentic, haha!
I hope Eleanor gets a happy ending from this too, and I hope she manages to gain come closure over what happened with her and William. Poor Eleanor...she seems so timid and shy next to her sparkling sisters. It was really interesting to see Sophia! So I suppose we've met the whole Campbell family :D
As Meggs mentions, swimmers in Victorian times would use 'bathing machines,' which is what they called those little wooden huts. They would be positioned out past the surf by horse or donkey so that the water level was almost up to the floor. This provided a place to dress in privacy, and a platform from which nonswimmers could dangle their toes in the water.
