Emma Release Date Changed? (9)

I just checked the CMX site online after being unable to find the first volume of Emma out in stores. I had though the release date was on September 20th, 2006, but the CMX site (http://www.dccomics.com/cmx/?action=on_sale&i=5775) says the date is now October 4th, 2006. Did I just get the date wrong, or has it been changed?

No, I'm pretty sure it used to be September 20, so it looks like it was changed.

hmm, I thought it was weird that no comic stores seemed to have it.

We apologize for the delay in Emma and understand your frustration. The delay is the result of our wanting to make this book as good as possible. Kaoru Mori’s artwork on Emma is very delicate and very subtle and we have gone back and forth on several pages multiple times, trying to ensure that our reproduction is the best that it can be. No one likes to ship a book late, but expectations for Emma are very high and we wanted to make sure that it would be a book you would be glad to own and look at for years to come.

But we now have our bound copies in the office, it looks great, and we can therefore confirm that the book is done and should be hitting stores on or around October 4. It will be worth the wait!

And in case you haven’t seen it, NewType USA Magazine awarded EMMA #1 with their prestigious “Book of the Month” designation. Yay!

Youtube has nothing to fear now. Google bought them and with Google's deep pockets they can afford to pay for an army of lawyers or damages like M$ did with the ani-trust thing.

I saw Emma v1 on the shelves at either Borders or Barnes & Noble. Anyone flipped through it yet? I didn't have time... ;_;
