yes its comming
Really? What's the source/link?
Oh happy day!
source please
main site
Neither http://www.emma-victorian.com/ nor http://pierrot.jp/ has any such news.
an wow even manga will continue
or not
All right, Moon Phase lists a second Emma season, but no definite date nor a source for the news. Not everything listed on Moon Phase ends up being true, but there is some hope. The manga chapters are just the extra chapters announced earlier when the main series ended.
If or when the anime actually airs, we will certainly make an attempt at subbing it. The manga chapters seem unlikely, though, as I suspect they will be part of volume 7 and definitely should be licensed along with the rest. Maybe some summaries, we shall see what whispers is up for.
still its better than nothing
Hey, Do you guys have any idea when will Emma manga be in stores for sale?! I've already looked at Amazon, but it seems they don't have any volume yet!
The place I order my manga from has a release date of 9/20/06.
Yes, that's the release date I've seen mentioned elsewhere as well.
May contain SPOILERS, please read at your own risk!
Here're some source I've found so far(Sorry, the linked pages are in Japanese only.)
Emma Anime 2nd season: http://s03.2log.net/home/angel/image/emma180.jpg
Same production (Studio Pierrot), same director(Mr. Kobayashi), same script writer(Ms. Ikeda).
Airing date is not specified here and more detail will be on next comic beam issue.
Emma Manga Side stories(Spoilers):
http://blog.excite.co.jp/mangaword/4792902
-She plans the side stories to be at least 1 volume, hopefully 2, she already made a plot for next 10 chapters for it.
(By the way, volume 7 is completed already, so the side stories will start in Vol. 8)
-Besides Kelly's story, she plans to write focusing on Victorian life and cultures such as Eton College, bicycle and cycling(what!?), also write more about poor Eleanor, or Hakim & William in India in their childhood.
...and new Shirley. :) Yes, a new, short, shirley story sometime in Autumn.
FINALLEEEE-・゜゚・:.。..。.:*・゜(n‘∀‘)η゚・:.。. .。.:*・゜゚・!!!!!☆
I'm grinning ear to ear here, so you better not be pulling my leg or I'll sic Vivi on you! :D
Say, is that a figurine of Dorothea I spy, in her nightgown? (*´Д`)=3
makes me wonder if those side stories are licensed as well darn
If somebody could find out, it would be most appreciated. I guess asking directly would be the best plan.

Yes, the secret figure from this set. Apparantly there are also different color versions of the figures that are shown.

Anime News Service says a season 2 is coming. I found the same info. at www.aaaanime.com.
Based upon the link above:
8-13-06 (8:22PM EDT)---- Victorian Romance Emma Season 2
Based on the seinen manga serialized in manga magazine Comic Beam, Victorian Romance Emma will get a second season. Tsuneo Kobayashi contiues in the role of Director, Mamiko Ikeda will handle series composition.

I got it straight from the horse's mouth.

>1. Not sure what you are referring to as the “questionnaires.” We are including Kaoru Mori’s humorous strips about working on the series that follow the Emma stories in the back of each volume.
>2. At present, we do not have the extra side stories starting in September. We will wait to finish out the 7 volume run of Emma and see where we go from there.

BTW, was this page originally part of the book or a separate leaflet? http://img135.imageshack.us/img135/6140/emmavol1v2196fh3.png
A postcard, isn't it? So you can mail it directly.
Well, that sounds a lot like a go-ahead. Stay tuned!
WAY COOL.
dammit i like emma soooooo much!
lol so iwas right about this cool
There has been a new update on Victorian Romance Emma official website. Anyone who is fluent on Japanese...can you tell us what does it say under 8/22/2006 and possibly the main picture?
Make sure to click on the print just below William too. There will be a pop-up window that explains more information.
I tried to tell people at ANN about this. Guess what their response was. "Not significant to make the front page". Seriously.
http://www.animenewsnetwork.com/bbs/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?t=27749
In the interest of fairness, I should point out that the person who remarked that it wasn't important enough for the front page was obviously saying so with deepest sarcasm. This particular individual is, in fact, Emma's greatest fan at ANN, and you missed the point of his remark.
Behind the scenes at ANN, there's a great divide, nay, an abyssal chasm, between the editorial staff (none of whom, frankly, give a toss about Emma) and the encyclopedia staff. The latter are almost universally volunteers, and are pretty much treated like second-raters by the editorial staff.
So when an encyclopedia volunteer bitterly remarks that it's not important enough for the front page, don't read it as his dismissal of the news.
Speaking of the editorial staff, I notice Shirley is listed as being serialized in Comic Beam, which as far as I know is incorrect - it was never serialized, it was a doujin work by Mori, which was later published in tankubon by Enterbrain.
Anime News Network (ANN) already had a webpage of the 2nd season of Victorian Romance Emma.
http://www.animenewsnetwork.com/encyclopedia/anime.php?id=7489
Who wants to think the show may air in the spring (April)? Has there been any updates so far about the Second Act?
i think it will be licensed just before 2 part airs
I noticed the changes at the site yesterday too-- it made me wonder 2 things--
1) is there going to be an art style change for Season 2 or is this just a promo shot? (perhaps an expanded budget?) and
2) are they going to highlight a sort of pseudo romance between Emma and the butler (by the looks of the shot)??
They definitely "highlighted" a number of things in the first season-- expanding Eleanor and Hakim's parts for example, and adding some meetings between Emma and Will-- so I wouldn't be surprised if they did something similar for the 2nd arc, to keep the tension up..... I know its all speculation, but the pic on the site definitely sparks a few thoughts....
Does anyone know how many episodes this second act will have?
Will this series start in March or April?
Also, anyone who can read Japanese please translate the main page. Thanks!
None of that has been announced that I know of.
Squeeeeeeee!! It's HANS!
Roughly paraphrased:
"Tasha! Dorothea! Adele! Hans! At a new mansion, many new people are introduced! With the Molders family, the story expands apace!"
Oh, also:
"Starts Spring 2007."
thanks whispers!
egads.. what if Hans and Tasha get together...
>It won't be by Pierrot, it'll be by Asia-Do, the same studio that brought you the new Genshiken OAVs and the new Kujibiki. So expect QUALITY.
Say it ain't so. ;_; OTL
Why not? Asia-Do have done some quite remarkable works, like the Spirit of Wonder anime, and Twilight Q.
Become an hero
Asia-do's work depends on how much they're into it. They were the homeplace of some of the most leet people like Tomomi Mochizuki... I think this can turn out very well. Especially since Kobayashi knows how to get the msot out of a studio.
The main staff is all the same though
There has been another update on the webpage. What does the Japanese say for 1/22/07???
"Victorian Romance Emma Second Act cast and staff information added. First season to be rebroadcast on ANIMAX."
I'm so excited. I just finally found the second volume of the comic in stores here-- ♥ I couldn't be more excited for the second part to air.
what happend with dvd rereleases?
On animax? Really? oh that's good news. Here in my country we can see that cable-channel. Oh, that's wonderful news.
By the way... the second season... when it's the official release date? does anyone know?
There is another update on the Emma website.
What does it say for February?
looks something like "adding emma related information & Kaoru mori's room opening".
Here's a reference for how to write British English!
http://www.misterkitty.org/extras/stupidcovers/stupidcomics80.html
What does the most recent update on the Emma website say? For 2/25/07?
It just says they added this page: http://www.emma-victorian.com/family.html
It says additional information has been added (on the people living at the Jounes, Molders, and Campbell houses) under "Family."
when is it goin gto sta-art. I am impatient. >D
I always seem to forget the Molders family name for some reason.
April.
Official (and free) screensaver available at http://www.emma-victorian.com/download.html
I don't know what to think when a screensaver requires a Gigahertz-class PC. But, it's Emma, so it's okay! ( ゚ ヮ゚)
And the earliest will be aired on April 7th, 25:30~(April 8th 1:30am) on TVK(Television Kanagawa) channel.
Woot. That's nice to know. thanks!
ditto! we have a concrete date to look forward to! arigatou!
Awww, I'm sorry, but according to cyan(the owner of www.moonphase.cc), Emma on TVK has been postponed until April 14th.
There might be a chance that other channel airs it by then, but most likely April 14th would be the earliest to be aired in Japan. It still is not official, neither Emma official website or TVK stated the airing dates, though.
I'm sorry for the confusion. m(_ _)m
Okay, Emma website finally stated its on-air schedule. This is the official information.
Earliest will be on Monday, April 16th, at 25:30(that is actually Tuesday 1:30am) on "TV Saitama"!(Yes, Saitama!) Also, Chiba TV and Sun TV on the same day, at 26:10~, Tokyo MX on April 20, at 18:30, TVK postponed it until April 21 at 25:30 after all...
Please note that even though this is the official info, the schedule is still subject to change. ^^;
Emma Second Act Promotion Video available at http://www.emma-victorian.com/promo.html
Here's a standalone version of the promo previously available on Youtube:

YEAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHAHAHAHAHAHAHAH
I cant wait.
I was looking at the official site of Emma, in the Production page, and it seems that there has been a change of schedule in the premiere of the second season to April 9 2007. Could someone confirm this?
Oh thank you servidor for remind me!
It says that ... uh, I don't know the appropriate word... er, according to the dictionary, "recap ep" or "omnibus"(like, a summary, collection of the various scenes) of Emma 1st season will be aired on April 9.
This is not a part of Second Act, I believe.
I have a feeling that it could be the same video as one they aired when Emma 1st season ended last July...
http://iitran.secchan.net/dis/kareha.pl/1119841052/l50
But I'm not positive about it.
I gladly admit that my guess was wrong!
It does have some new scenes and new dialogs, even with narration by ... him. (Hehehe, I'm trying to not spoil!)
Victorian Romance Emma Second Act Episode 00 -- "Intermission."
RARE ITEM GETTO! It will be time to use my catchphrase soon!
The characters' page for he second act is up in the official site. There is a new character, a girl working for the Molders, could someone get the name of the girl?
Possible spoilers ahead, stop reading if you don't want to know more.
I was using Babel Fish, not the best tool, to traslate the entries of the characters and the new girl is the Lady's maid and it seems she dislikes Emma. I wonder how the story will develope since Emma acted a couple of times as the mistress Lady's maid.
She's Nanette, apparently.

Well, 13 episodes including Episode 0, actually.
It'll end on July 2nd afaik.
From Emma website :
6 DVD with 2 episodes, so 12 episodes in total.
I am very grateful for this second and last season... and I do not want to complain.
But there´s something about the quick pacing that doesn´t let me taste Emma bite by bite... It´s like chewing a whole banquet out of hunger...
But I am grateful I truly am... -_-'
But most of the complain about the first season was that it was too slow. I mean, there's slow... right? Then there's too slow. :P I guess a hastened pace is what this series needed, considering all the drama the second season has (much more than the first one).
I haven't read the manga past volume 3, so I suppose I may be a little biased in that regard.
Zanza, i have to agree that the first season was... too slow. Really slow. (But i liked the pace. It was like sipping at quality wine.) But in comparison, the second season is... too fast. As in, it's a step beyond fast if you get what i mean. Think about it. 2 volumes in 12 episodes. And mind you, the 1st 2 volumes are a lot less eventful than the rest of the series. And now... 5 volumes in 12 episodes? Mathematically, it's more than twice as fast. And a lot more stuff happens in comparison. So it's actually A LOT faster. Oh, and book 7 is a lot thicker than the other volumes. This second season feels like drinking water after sprinting a long distance.
But nevertheless, i appreciate having the second season of Emma being made. Seeing Emma in colour and animation is a joy. (I had imagined Emma's dress at William's engagement party to be pink and yellow, but it turned out to be green... haha) That reminds me - when's episode 7 going to come out? (eagerly awaiting the next episode!!)
Zanza, go read the rest of the manga if you can. It's... kind of different from the anime. I find it more elegant, chaste and beautiful. The motion is slower and a lot more can be learnt through the body languages and facial expressions of the characters in the drawings.
But they seem to have changed some events in the 2nd season`s anime, right? To make some of the events flow quickly, and others to fill in the gap (like episode 6).
I dont know much about the comparison between the story sequence 1st seasons manga and anime though.
I don't care that it'll be over by early July. I don't care, I don't care, I don't care. I'm just glad enough that Emma was popular and loved enough to be made into an anime. HEART <3333
Oh definitely, no doubt. When I finished watching the first season of Emma I was left with a hole in my freggin' soul. I needed more Emma. Heh. :)
>>101
I'm very eager to read the rest of the manga. I would read it all right now if I could, but CMX's release is a volume every 3 or 4 months. :( My copy of volume 4 ships next week from Rightstuf, hopefully! :)
