When whispers has the time, she can post the link to the Chapter 52 summary here. :)
And that link, to nobody's surprise, is:

It's not finished yet. I'll finish it tomorrow morning.
GREAT! Thanks a lot !!!
Thank you Whispers! It's great as always:) Waiting in patience for rest:]
"Work has ended"
Not until you post the link to the raw.
Please, a can't find it anywhere.
And thanks for the translation.
How does posting the raw have anything to do with "work has ended"?
>>6 Please check the "raws thread", information there, just like there's been for the previous chapters. It might involve a little work for you, but I assure you it's worth the effort.
Whispers, thank you. That was a lovely piece of work.
Yappari, the forthcoming sidestories are looked forward to. :)
one request...
if a scan of the emma wearing her lavendar outfit could be posted... that would be great.
arigatou!
Nee, onee-san, do you suppose they wanted the image at the end of the chapter when she's dressed up..?

i am, like, coming from nowhere... been suddenly obsessed with "Emma"... have been having trouble with Bittorrent (i'm a total BT ditz ^.^;)...
THANK YOU, just the same, for all your work and cooperation!
and the link to the image--soooo haappyyyyyyyy.... :D
ah... doomo!
Thankies so much whispers for the lovely summaries! Can't wait to see those side stories. >w< With comment to "Work has ended." Does that mean there will be no summaries of the side stories??
I think she means that work on the "main body" of the text has finished. There was literally a page with 'The End', I'd say that's closure enough. But Mori-sensei has stated that there will be side-stories to tie up loose ends of the other characters. I'm not sure it was specified that 'all' or 'some' of the loose ends will be tied up.
If you want to make comments about Chapter 52, please post all spoilers here: http://cerealandmilk.net/iichan/dis/kareha.pl/1124370896
We are not entirely sure what the licensing status of the as-yet-unreleased side story chapters are. Most likely they'll be part of the last collected volume, but if by some chance they are not actually licensed, we will most probably translate them as they appear. If anyone can find official word on this, it would be most appreciated.
Summary of ch-51 was beautiful, hoping for whisper to post the last one (ch-52).
She already did it
ah, well translations or summaries would be greatly appreciated. I was just wondering...cause "work has ended" sounded so final i got worried...lol. Thankies much for the responses. ^.^
Finally the story ended but still I feel that it ended quiet abruptly.I didn't expect it to happen in such a manner as because the story telling in the begining was fabulous but with the end it feels like that the creator wanted to do away with the manga as fast as possible and hence such an abrupt finish, of such a well crafted manga. So sad.........

what second series ????????????????
Where the links of the Emma manga?
IRC only?
It's licensed.
I don't know if this is the right thread to discuss this, but since this is up to the end of the manga already, is there any explanation as to why William's mother is referred to as "Mrs. Trollope?"
When she and Dorothea meet in London, she still refers to the Jounes family as "husband and my children..." so I was wondering about the Trollope name? Did she get divorced from Richard Jounes, married and settled with someone somewhere else?
In volume 5, page 55, Richard and Aurelia talk about it...
Richard: "Mrs Trollope?"
Aurelia: They called me that.
Society's misanthrope.
"Trollope" comes from "Misanthrope."
...
But I'm not really a misanthrope.
I just couldn't deal with those people. As for her marital status... while she isn't divorced, she was sent away to a country estate for "medical reasons". At least it looks like she and Richard are together again.
I see. Thanks for the explanation.
Nice explanation Forever Blessed
Thank you so much for your hard work in translating this!
I heard there are going to be some side stories for Emma, is it true? Will they be also summarised by whispers?
Depending on how the stories are presented (will they be called "Emma Reloaded" or "Tales from Victorian England?") we will either fully translate and edit them, summarize them, or leave them alone.
I tend towards the first and third options, since summarizing manga isn't the typical way it's done. I just did that to finish out the last few chapters.
The first option sounds nice.
And I just now realize I just used the royal "we." Too funny!
What does that mean?
I'm sure FON will be along soon with a entertainingly pedantic but informative answer. But until he shows up...
"The royal we" refers to the use of "we" instead of "I" when a person refers to him/herself. This practice is usually only employed by royalty and popes... not lowly translators.
Then again, I am ULTRA DIRECTOR around here...
So what new projects are you working on right now?
>>37
Is that a Haruhi-ism I hear..?
are the side stories coming out on the same schedule as the usual emma chapters?
if so when is that?
The first side story will be appeared in the September issue, so... mid August, i suppose.
wow, i wonder what mori is doing in between now and then =P
hm... she must've finished with her extra pages(omake comic, sequel, etc.) for the comic vol. 7 by now.
so... maybe on vacation? :D
[prays whispers next projecy is what he thinks it is....
ooh ive put up a review of emma on uk-anime.net

Hey all, just a quick question. Does anyone know how long until the last Emma volume comes out? I got the most recent one off Amazon (the shipping from Japan cost more than the book itself- came to about $18). Made me feel better about not paying for it so far. hehe!
If you mean Haruhi, then sorry, the manga looks kind of lame, the anime is in extremely good hands already. However, FON is actually helping out with the books over at http://www.baka-tsuki.net/.
I thought I knew this, but it turns out I don't. Very soon, I should guess.
Oh, it never occurred to me that someone might think I was doing a Haruhi-related project. I'm just a fan. :)
I don't really post here but I check this message board often to check for Emma manga updates. Anyways, I went to CMX's website and they are releasing Emma vol 1 on September...just letting you guys know.
