It's either on the torrent, or its not. You can't "hide" on a torrent. And be careful, occaisonally I will remove the very older torrents to clean up.

How do you reseed torrents? I have the complete 30-40 RAW on my computer, but I opened my BitTornado, and it just said 'Download Successful!' and nothing happened.

That means you're seeding, pretty much. Unless you've set your client to stop uploading after some amount of time, or something similar.

If you're using BitTornado, there'll be an upload speed and a download speed indicated. When you're at 100% and the download speed drops to zero, there'll still be an upload speed - this is pure seeding. You can set your U/L speed to what you find comfortable, depending on how fat your line is.

Advice: If you're on Cable/DSL and your download speed is faster than your upload speed, cap your upload speed on BitTorrent to about 75-80% on how fast your upload speed is. So on my 1mbit upload, I would make my maximum upload speed at about 70-80kb/s . That way you don't saturate the line and ruin your download speed!

Yes, it's important to remember that torrents use part of the upload capacity to acknowledge packages received, and "shake hands" with the other peers. That means, if your D/L speed is significantly higher than your U/L speed, you're not going to get full use of it. Not with BT, anyway.

On the other hand, I'm on a 2Mb/2Mb line.... :-P
I've been thinking of upgrading to 6Mb/6Mb, the price differential isn't that great.

...assuming other people are trying to download the file at the time. If there's no one to upload to, it'll sit idle and wait.

I was more referring to the result of "asymmetric saturation" that occurs when a connection's speeds are not even which is commonplace with ADSL/Cable connections. Sounds like you're on a SDSL connection, which uses two channels, thus you won't suffer as badly from it.

Is there any way I could get scanlations for the beginning of the manga? I really would like to start reading... (are they on IRC? I will delve into that craziness again, but I was never very good at it...I'd like to make sure they're there before I go through the effort? Also...if there's any other way... ^^;; I'm so bad at life)

If the earliest volumes are not seeded very well if at all – yes all [ iichan ] releases are in the IRC channel. My fserver has all the manga releases even if it is a bit slow and behind a router. Not a problem unless you are also behind a router. There are however other fserver with the files so don’t let that stop you if it you are.

If you’ve ever tried to clean your keyboard in your dish washer, if you think ‘port forwarding’ has to do with maritime postal deliveries or if you expect to witness the next lunar eclipse before you’re able to download anything with your IRC client you may contemplate stopping by the channel and asking someone to seed the files. Hint on human interaction and ICR chat: If you can find a warm body to actually talk with consider chatting about anything (ie. Emma manga, brand of laundry detergent they use, the meaning of life and/or their favorite color) before making a request. After talking with someone for a couple of minutes most folks in the channel will help you with anything they can including seeding old torrents.

I haven't seen any download progress on episode 12 at all. The previous 11 have all come down successfully, though. Is there maybe something wrong with the tracker?

Update on the 12 problem. I tried another client and got a "Torrent is not authorized to use on this tracker" error. I pulled the torrent off of the above page, however. Is there maybe a problem with the new tracker?

Interesting, had to delete then re-add the torrent from cache to get it working again.

I redownloaded and tried again and it seems to be connecting just fine now: whatever you did seemed to do the trick. Unfortunately while I'm connected to 4 peers right now, we're all at 0%. Any chance a we could see a seed on this episode?

The batch torrent has no seeds half the time. In any case, I found the Eps on veoh and downloading them from there. I will however use those files to seed the batch torrent for a while.

Just watched the last episode...beautiful ending...I might say even better than the manga itself (though the rest is rest of this season is rather so-so...)...I must say Emma is quite the "fertile" one isn't she?...
