Here is a little side project we've been working on: Aki Eda / Rocket Fuel 21's Plastic Heart:
This is probably the cutest Touhou book. Featuring Alice, Patchouli, Marisa and some Reimu.
A torrent will be along later.
Please translate more Aki Eda!
Emma and Dorothea are both in today's Saimoe preliminary group. Please vote for them. :3
Go here to get your code http://animoe.skr.jp/a07/
Then paste it in this thread http://etc6.2ch.net/test/read.cgi/vote/1184593814/ along with this.
A little late, but I'll offer up a translation for those who did not understand this:
> Greetings, and apologies for posting in Japanese.
> I am (the admin of) the Futaba Warehouse (Futaba-Souko, http;//kazumi386.org/~nijigen/,
> I also posted this at http://4-ch.net/nihongo/kareha.pl/1185473345/
> I have created an image board named Overchan@Futaba (国際交流＠ふたば), http://kazumi386.org:8801/taihi/overchan/futaba.htm, as a bridge to help international exchange between the inhabitants of Futaba Channel (http://www.2chan.net) and 4chan, wakachan, iichan, etc.
> You are welcome to use it as a point of contact for our mutual cultures.
It should be added to the iichan/wakachan indexes post-haste!
yes, perhaps add all of his sites under the links section as well?
>>5 says that he'd be honoured if the site was linked, but thinks it would be better to only link http://kazumi386.org:8801/taihi/overchan/futaba.htm, in order to keep server load and maintenance down.
I'll have a word with the people involved.
Whats the password to get in to http://kazumi386.org:8801/taihi/overchan/futaba.htm
So, so far we've done two translations of Takahiro Awatake's manga:
I really enjoyed this, and I'm itching to do some more as soon as Hinata gets back (without whose help this wouldn't be possible - I sure can't read those kanji). Question is, what to do next? Start going through the whole batch from the start? Or does anyone have any specific requests? The full list is here:
Me, I'd like to do them all sooner or later, if everyone else is up for it, but where to start?
Actulay he started IP blocking after a exchange of several emails with me. He blames all forginers for his lack of sales, and upon me trying to explain to him he called me stupid and told me from now on there would be IP blocking.
I am highly insulted by his lack of respect and childish behaviour. I do hope someone posts his "Deep in a Thicket" here for us to enjoy, because obviously the racist fool dosnt care about his white fans.
As far as I can tell the above post and the similar posts like it made on Hongfire and other forums several years ago are a fabrication. Awatake has been entirely courteous to me in his Twitter communications as well as when I met him personally at Comiket, and he did grant permission for fan translations to be made. I'm not sure why "kona" makes up stuff like this; I'm guessing "kona" received some sort of takedown notice and has been angry ever since.
Hmm... Several people have told me that he does not like anyone posting his stuff, which is understandable, since he sells them to make a living. I have seen messages on his site on occasion telling people to take down his work.
It is nice to know that he is willing to allow fan translations. Perhaps you can somehow make an arrangement with him where you translate his work for him (perhaps for a flat fee, or a small percentage of the profit from slaes, unless you are willing to offer it for free), and he sells the translated work on the English DLsite. His sales would likely go up if there was a translated version available on the site, because not everyone knows to look here.
Sorry to bother with this as it is probably really easy. But how exactly do I forward an e-mail to shii at shii.org? I only really know how to send to regular e-mail adresses.
oh man, I never replied to poor Golbez... turn that at into an @.
> Forward the LZH file of a chapter, or its md5sum, to "shii" at shii.org to receive a translated copy.
How many people have actually done this?
A handful of Awatake fans requested translations as I was releasing them, which I guess was in 2010-2011? I have only received a single request since then.
Any plans to do additional chapters of Intake Tower?
It's a fun series that I often come back to, but readership was very low and I have a lot of other stuff on the table right now. Please don't expect anything.
It's translated and released by Yen Press, and it is AMAZING. I never even had an inkling this was coming out until I saw it in a a store. Hardcover! Dustjacket! Several newly translated short stories! Promotional arts! Historical research explanations! Rejoice!
Dunno if people knew about this, but...
Any chance of an English-translated 'repeater' site? >_>
Ms. Mori did a large update to her blog, many sketches of young women, four pages of maids manga and even a sketch of "The King and I".
Dat ass or DAT ASS?

Could someone set up a torrent of the Emma Victorian Guide? boke, my translation checker, would like to see it (and probably lots of other people too.)
It's light-years beyond my capabilities to translate, and I suspect even boke and the Red-Headed League combined couldn't do it either. (Obligatory Sherlock Holmes reference.) It'd sort of be like translating an encyclopedia: an tiresome chore for even a native speaker.
But the pictures sure are pretty.
Untranslated, of course. If somebody wants to take up the task of doing a translation, it will be very much appreciated, but I don't think anybody should be holding their breath waiting for that to happen.
If they did, I would edit that in a heartbeat. But... heh. Just LOOK at it. That's unlikely to happen.
Could anyone please re-seed this?
