I really enjoyed this, and I'm itching to do some more as soon as Hinata gets back (without whose help this wouldn't be possible - I sure can't read those kanji). Question is, what to do next? Actulay he started IP blocking after a exchange of several emails with me. He blames all forginers for his lack of sales, and upon me trying to explain to him he called me stupid and told me from now on there would be IP blocking.
I am highly insulted by his lack of respect and childish behaviour. I do hope someone posts his "Deep in a Thicket" here for us to enjoy, because obviously the racist fool dosnt care about his white fans.
As far as I can tell the above post and the similar posts like it made on Hongfire and other forums several years ago are a fabrication. Awatake has been entirely courteous to me in his Twitter communications as well as when I met him personally at Comiket, and he did grant permission for fan translations to be made. I'm not sure why "kona" makes up stuff like this; I'm guessing "kona" received some sort of takedown notice and has been angry ever since.
Hmm... Several people have told me that he does not like anyone posting his stuff, which is understandable, since he sells them to make a living. I have seen messages on his site on occasion telling people to take down his work.
It is nice to know that he is willing to allow fan translations. Perhaps you can somehow make an arrangement with him where you translate his work for him (perhaps for a flat fee, or a small percentage of the profit from slaes, unless you are willing to offer it for free), and he sells the translated work on the English DLsite. His sales would likely go up if there was a translated version available on the site, because not everyone knows to look here.
Sorry to bother with this as it is probably really easy. But how exactly do I forward an e-mail to shii at shii.org? I only really know how to send to regular e-mail adresses.

A handful of Awatake fans requested translations as I was releasing them, which I guess was in 2010-2011? I have only received a single request since then.
Any plans to do additional chapters of Intake Tower?
It's a fun series that I often come back to, but readership was very low and I have a lot of other stuff on the table right now. Please don't expect anything.

Could someone set up a torrent of the Emma Victorian Guide? boke, my translation checker, would like to see it (and probably lots of other people too.)
It's light-years beyond my capabilities to translate, and I suspect even boke and the Red-Headed League combined couldn't do it either. (Obligatory Sherlock Holmes reference.) It'd sort of be like translating an encyclopedia: an tiresome chore for even a native speaker.

Untranslated, of course. If somebody wants to take up the task of doing a translation, it will be very much appreciated, but I don't think anybody should be holding their breath waiting for that to happen.
If they did, I would edit that in a heartbeat. But... heh. Just LOOK at it. That's unlikely to happen.
